At the heart of the Esoteric School of Higher Learning, nestled in the hills surrounding Tyalgum, a place some have come to associate with the so-called “water people”, lies a concise yet profound framework designed to guide sincere spiritual seakers toward genuine transformation.
Despite past misunderstandings and online attacks unfairly labelling our spiritual community as the “water people cult,” our commitment has always been to inspire people to a living process of integrity, self-transcendence and heart-based transformation. These six foundational teachings represent the real work that goes on here, far from gossip or misrepresentation. This is not abstract theory or secretive ritual. It is a clear and living process, one you can begin to practice today, to shift your inner landscape and align with a deeper, more resilient state of being.
Although communicating how to living such a transformative process is a much more profound matter than just releasing to the world a statement on our website blog. However, we hope to help shed some light on our ‘way’, if you will… for anyone with an open heart.
1. Locating Happiness Under All Conditions
Consider this – Happiness is a discipline… It isn’t something that just happens to you. Ultimately Real happiness is your True Condition, your realised Divine state – awakening to it is your birthright. But in this world at this time, if you look closely around at all that is going on, there isn’t a whole lot to be happy about… So happiness is something that needs to be remembered and practiced, that there is a Divine Condition Prior to all of this so called unhappiness that’s going on everywhere. Happiness needs to be assumed as a discipline, but not in a gleeful way. It can be located when we begin to be real with ourselves and those around us, allowing all of the self-defensive mechanisms to be released. Ultimately real happiness is an unshakable truth that stands prior to life’s highs and lows and is not effected by the emotional ups and downs that arise on a daily basis. This first principle invites us to recognise this ever-present state prior to every thought, sensation and situation. By consciously tuning into that prior happiness and learning to practice happiness through our daily routines and work environments, we reclaim our natural balance / equilibrium, no longer at the mercy of external circumstances. We eventually ‘fall out’ of the unhappy state we’d previously been locked into and we begin to live on an entirely difference basis.
2. Resorting to Humour
When life presses in, maintaining a light-hearted perspective becomes an act of liberation. True humour is about seeing the absurdity of how we cling to this life so tightly, not letting go, not trusting and having any faith at all. It’s about learning to not take this life so seriously. This teaching encourages us to meet seriousness of our own condition with levity, to laugh at our own foibles, and to refuse permanent refuge in solemnity. Humour, in this context, is a sacred tool: it cracks open rigid mindsets, dissolves tension, and reminds us that even the most challenging moments are part of a larger, unfolding mystery. There is no ultimate control in this life. If we had control, we won’t not chose sickness and ultimately death. So lighten up… find some humour about your own condition, and learn to let go, trust and not be always so mortally serious. If you can laugh at your own crazy egoic behavour, then you are well on your way to real liberation.
3. Relational Life
Our growth beyond the limitations of this life depend on allowing ourselves to be seen – by ourselves and by others. Transformation does not happen in isolation. Even the yogi sitting in a cave atop the mountain has created a perfectly isolated space for himself to hide away from life’s testing circumstances. Live has a lot to teach us. You don’t need to necessarily go sit for hours meditating to see the lessons that are presented in front of you every day (although most of us are so uptight that sitting for an hour with our eyes closed and breathing, is probably a really good idea – que laughter). We are woven into a living tapestry of relationships, each one with something to teach us – with ourselves, each other, and the world around us. This principle calls us to engage fully in every interaction, to honour presence over performance, and to let our connections serve as mirrors of insight. This earth plane is a school of learning. Those who can grasp this will make great leaps and bounds in this life. Through genuine relational life, each encounter becomes an opportunity to deepen awareness and speed up our transformative process.
4. Responsibility for Energy and Feeling
Our subtle-body communications, our moods, empathy, actions and unspoken transmissions, shape the field of everything around us. We are energy – everything is energy. This is a fundamental realisation that one must arrive at in order to wakeup within this realm of causation. This principle invites us to own that energetic responsibility: to cultivate moral integrity in relation to what we do with our energy and communication, to practice clear and honest feeling and communication, and to use our life-force with disciplined attention. Awakening to the realisation that you are having an immediate and ongoing impact on everything and everyone around you at all times, is a humbling event. This is Morality at it’s core. Morality is about the use of human energy. Are you impacting the world positively or negatively? By taking this into acount, we ensure that our presence contributes positively and we awaken as truly moral beings.
5. Engaging the Hermetic Tools of Transformation
Alchymie in our world is not just a metaphor for tuning led into gold; it is the living, practical art of transformation. Engaging the extraordinary Alchymie Energy Tools of Hermes Far Eastern Shining, that were created and gifted to the world many years ago, is a fundamental discipline within our community. We usilise these unique esoteric artifafts to enhance and intensify the transformative process. Daily use of the Alchymeic energies enhance simple disciplines of breath-centered exercises, grounding practices, psychic clearing and healing – to constantly purify our foundation. These practices and tools are not ends in themselves but moments of alignment and calibration, each designed to realign mind, body and heart with an ever-higher moral foundation. The esoteric tools work. Thousands of people worldwide are currently incorporating them into their daily lives. You don’t need to be part of this community in order to access these incredible gifts. And using them doesn’t mean you need to become a member, or are considered a member of this particular community. All are welcome to discover their powerful, esoteric, transformative properties, no obligation – Energy Alchymie Happiness
6. Love as Action
Finally, love transcends sentiment when it becomes deliberate service. True love is an active principle: a willingness to set aside narrow self-interest in order to uplift others and draw every being toward their highest possibility. Love isn’t necessarily a passive heart-centered, compassionate, peaceful feeling. Love is action! Love is the force that moves to chance things when they need to be changed, or liberate those who need help when we see it. Love can be a helping hand, but it can also be a sword of Truth in certain situations. Love is discovered by embodying love as action, we transform mere compassion from a abstract ideal, into concrete practice of action. In doing so, catalyse our own and each other’s awakening. So love is about bringing energy, not sitting back and waiting for love to happen to you. Do this enough, and you begin to awaken whole-bodily as an active principle, driven by the heart impulse to bring energy, to bring Consciousness and the transformative force to everything around you. Transforming the unconsciousness requires love – energy and intensity.
Further, love has no degrees – you either love, or you don’t. And all the failure to love on a daily basis around this world, is just adding to the mass unconsciousness and degraded state we are witnessing. Everyone has a part to play in this theatre that is unfolding here. Which way is it to go…? Is Love going to win out…? Awakening beyond ourselves to love, to bring energy, to act when we see we need to, is the greatest principle that you can awaken to in this place.
A Living Process, Not a Destined State
Together, these six principles create a foundation process within our community, one that requires steady engagement, honest self-examination and unwavering commitment to awaken as a positive presence in this world. They are not checkpoints on a distant map, but daily guideposts: reminders to locate our inherent connection to prior happiness, to lighten our seriousness, to honour relationship as an opportunity to transform via reflection, to spend our energy wisely, to utilise the gift of Alchymie with integrity, and to let love manifest through our self-sacrificing service.
In a world hungry for quick fixes and superficial remedies, the Fellowship’s process stands apart as a rigorous, heart-centred Alchymie. It neither promises instant glory, nor hides its cost. Instead, it extends an open invitation: to embark on the most demanding journey of all – the transformation of the egoic-self, into a living conduit of joy, clarity and compassionate action.
For those who have encountered conflicting or misleading narratives about our community, particularly about the so-called Tyalgum water people, we invite you to look deeper – take a look at the living demonstration and what has been created. Beyond the clickbait headlines and cult accusations lies a sincere community of individuals committed to living these foundational principles with integrity and devotion. If these teachings resonate, you are welcome to explore further, deepen your practice, and discover how age-old wisdom and modern day Alchymie can transform your life, one intentional moment at a time.
